Softball is a beautiful game and playing it always leaves one with some mental and physical satisfaction. At YourSoftball.com we are all about softball and our passion and love for the game is what drives us. The site provides a platform for softball lovers to gather and share ideas on how we can improve the game and help those that are just starting out get the right gear so that they can also get to love the game as much as we do.
Just like many other sports, softball has been facing many challenges over the years, and it is becoming harder for the young players to focus on it as they have many things to worry about. One of the main issues is college tuition because education is now more expensive than any other time. It is as a result of this predicament and a few other reasons that we have YourSoftball annual external scholarship.
This scholarship is all about helping young softball players and those that are passionate about the game complete their education. We know that the sport needs all of us to develop and by helping a few softball enthusiasts with their education we will be contributing to building the game. These students will not have to worry about tuition fees or paying back students loans, and so they will have time to help develop the sport either as players, bloggers or participate in any other active way.
The award value for our annual external scholarship is $1000. After going through the applications, we will select the best or the one that stands out from all the others.
The Winner's story will be featured on YourSoftball.Com on Dec 30.
We will notify the winner through an email after which we will send the award money to the Financial Aid Office of his or her college.
Who Is Eligible?
Our external softball scholarship is open to all students who are passionate about the game and want to see it grow and thrive. Whether you play on your college’s team or are involved in any capacity, you blog about it or even help to teach others how to play softball this scholarship is for you.
Age is also not an issue because passion and love for the sport are all that matters. However, if you are below the legal age (under 18), you should get some consent from parents or legal guardians before you make your application.
How Does It Work?
This scholarship is all about softball, and we want to know just how passionate you are about the sport. And so to make your application you should write a story that should be between 1000 and 1500 words on any topic related to softball. You can write about the challenges facing the game and offer some solutions or even tell us a personal story on how playing softball has changed your life in a positive way. When writing the piece, you should demonstrate your passion for the game and also make sure that there is useful information in the article that can help other softball lovers.
